DUBROVNIK – Contours of Medieval, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque constructions of old City of Dubrovnik that can be seen today arising from the crystal clear sea beneath high hills are recognized as unique being listed in 1979 on UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is situated in the very south of Croatian Coast. Because of its position during the past it was subject of interest to maritime powers. Nevertheless, it succeeded to remain independent state for centuries acting as independent self-government Republic of Ragusa. 

Strolling among churches, monasteries, palaces and fountains of the ‘Pearl of Adriatic’ you’ll be able to feel the whiff of past times as well as sense blossoms and ripe fruit of the orange and lemon trees growing in many private gardens and public parks. Mediterranean climate ensures long swimming season on its rocky shores and sandy coastal and nearby island beaches.

Counting about 30.000 citizens and 42.000 with nearby settlements Dubrovnik is 12th largest town in Croatia (2011.)., and cultural and social center of the region – Dubrovnik-Neretva County.


CAVTAT –  Ancient remains and Renaissance places form nucleus of this once Greek colony Epidaurus. It development was determined by vicinity to Dubrovnik as Cavtat is situated 15 km further south from it. Nowadays many hotels and private households are intertwined with valuable works of stone masters.
